Art

Art is such a rewarding subject. At OLOL, all children have a voice through their artwork. Before they can speak or write art comes naturally and they can begin to show what they see through their mark making. We help them to develop this natural skill they already have.

Art develops fine motor skills which are so fundamental to developing young brains. Taking part in art is associated with better academic understanding, cognitive ability, critical thinking, verbal skills.

In creating art children are practicing self-expression. As well as building their self-esteem, creativity builds their sense of individual identity and emotional wellbeing.
