PSHE
PSHE at OLOL enables our children to develop the skills necessary to take an active and positive role in their community and navigate the wider world. We teach our children to demonstrate an appreciation, tolerance and respect of other groups, races, religions, ways of life and points of view. Pupils develop the skills, attributes and knowledge they need to keep themselves fit, healthy and safe. It fosters an attitude of resilience, independence and responsibility, enabling every child to reach their full potential.
The RSHE/PSHE curriculum aims to develop skills and attributes such as resilience, self-esteem, risk-management, teamworking and critical thinking in the context of learning our curriculum covers:
- Health and Well-being,
- Relationships
- Living in the wider world (including economic wellbeing and aspects of careers education).

Through our RSHE/PSHE curriculum at OLOL, pupils develop the skills, attributes and knowledge they need to keep themselves healthy and safe and prepare for life in modern Britain.
Pupils at OLOL are taught how to keep themselves safe. They participate in road safety workshops, cycling safety courses, drugs awareness workshops, e-safety week, Enterprise week and that is just to name a few.
Our weekly Collective Worship focuses on a range of topics which are linked to the Gospel Values. This ensures that the children at OLOL have time to think and reflect on how different issues impact on our world and how we can go forth to make it better.
